new to Adobe Elements 2019; why does the photo quality of my pictures seem to be downgraded from the actual picture when viewing through AE19?
I encountered an MS update issue that necessitated a fresh install of Win10, thus wiping my C: drive.
1) Prior to the C:drive wipe: My photos were on an extra 1.5Tb drive, with a drive letter that I forget now (let's call it Z:). The PSE13 catalog referred to that drive and file structure (approx. 24,000 images). No problems. I backed-up my PSE13 catalog through the standard PSE13 dialogue - in fact it was backed-up over time with a Full followed by three Incrementals.
2) After the C:drive wipe: (Win10 had installed OK on C:). The extra 1.5Tb drive had to be re-linked as a foreign drive resulting in a change in drive letter to E:. PSE13 reinstalled OK. But now I have my photos on the 1.5Tb drive (with a new drive letter, i.e. not the original location), and an empty catalog.
How should I use the PSE13 Catalog Restore dialog, to simply reinstate my backed-up catalog, but to refer to the new location of the original photos and file structure? I simply need to continue life with the original files in the original file structure on the 1.5Tb drive with the catalog pointing to the correct place, and all my ratings, labels etc preserved.
There may be an embarrassingly simple answer to this - I hope so!
I replaced my defunct pixma 4500 with the Pixma TS8250 and get an error message 'because the default printer could not be opened. Copy photo to MS Word and prints fine so not a printer problem. Computer system is Windows 10.

Why did Photoshop Elements 14 leave out the Color Variations selection in the "Adjust Color" drop down? That was useful to me. What do you suggest to use in it's place?
Hello. I am trying to import photos from my Iphone 7 and once I click on import from Iphone 7 I get the window "connecting to the device. Pls wait..." This message does not move from this and the program freezes. I have to open task manager to stop the adobe downloader. Any thoughts hot to fix this? Thanks.
Hi I wonder if anyone could help. I want to install PS 14 Elements on my new laptop. I have the serial number and even logged in my adobe account and confirmed that yes, it is registered there. But I can't find the download link.
When going to "Plans" and "Order history" the page is blank ("We didn’t find any orders associated with your account.").
My products page shows all versions of PS I have purchased previously: 3, 4 and 14.
When finding help I the best so far has been: "If you need to reinstall an older app that you purchased from a non-Adobe store, such as Amazon, Best Buy, or Costco, contact us." Of course it is impossible to contact anyone, unless I'm missing something.
So - what is the download link to PS Elements 14?

I recently had a crash on my PC which resulted in my having to get a new machine. The "expert" who set up the new machine seems to have lost my catalog file for PSE12 which contained several thousand photos and a large number of albums. Regrettably I had only backed up using Nortons so cannot use the restore in PSE12. Has any one any suggestions? Maybe what the file type is for the catalog and where it normally resides. I have a backup file set from June 2018 which might get me somewhere if I know what I'm looking for.

Can I use my 5.0 photoshop CD anymore with Windows 7 professional?
Computer Dell Inspiron 5700, Intel I7, 8550CPU,16 GB ram. PSE 19, Copy and paste to anywhere is very slow. aproximatly 90 seconds. Does not work at all with RAW pictures.
Also have PSE 13 everything is working fine.
I am using Photoshop Elements 2018, with about ~18K photos in the catalog. When I go to the People tab in Organizer I see many person stacks where there are no images, just icons, as shown below:
This occurs in both the Named and Unnamed sections of the People tab. If I click on one of the stacks and then click on the Faces link I see the same gray icon. Clicking on the Photos link does show the photos, not an icon.
What can I do so I can actually see faces instead of icons?

When I select photoshop elements from the initial splash screen I get the following error message and the process then hangs.and I am unable to use the software:
The procedure entry point cannot be found_crtCreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\windows\system32\MSVCP110.DLL
I ran a windows system file check and it found no errors so I have no idea. Any thoughts welcome please ?
Adobe keep trying to get me to update to 2019 version but Im happy with this one (14)

All of a sudden, the size of the type in elements 14 is too small to read. I don't know what happened to cause this. Can I make it larger?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't know what to search for to try to find an answer.
I am using PSE 2019 for Mac (Mojave). I want to be able to have floating windows but I want the documents to stay inside the workspace, and not cover up the tools, tool options, and layer palette when I move them around. I just installed PSE 2019 at work on my Windows box and it works just the way I want it to, but on my Mac at home, I can't figure out which setting I need to change. I have tried "Allow Floating Documents in Expert Mode" and "Enable Floating Document Window Docking" and neither of these do what I need. (Though I do need the former checked, it doesn't keep my documents inside my workspace as I move them around.) Please see screen shot below where I have moved my document down and it's now covering up my tool options. I want all the documents to be floating so I can move them around, but to stay inside the dark gray space. The last version I had was PSE 11 and I was able to to do this. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Is there a way to stroke a path using a brush? I have PSE 2019 and PSE 11, but mainly use Photoshop CC and am trying to create an action that will stroke a paint brush along a path.

At times when in Elements Organizer I have a need to use the Quick Fix option to lighten the photo. That opens up Editor but after "saving" and "done" it closes out Editor and I have to reopen Organizer. Isn't there an option to return to the photo in Organizer that was just modified?
I am unable to burn a slideshow project file (created in Organizer) to the optical disk on my PC. This process was known to work last October. I now receive the following message: "The slideshow can not be exported because you do not have permission to create a file at the specified location." Attempting to burn a disk after creating a slideshow in the Premier environment also fails for a like reason. I am able to burn a word document using the disk drive.

I'm new in using above tool and have the following issue, but first some system specs:
* Adobe Elements Organizer 2019 (17.0, 20180830.m.125874)
* Windows 10 Pro (Build 1903)
* Pictures saved on network drive
Elements Organizer was able to recognize all my photos from the network drive, so connectivity shouldn't be an issue. Also it adds new photos whenever new one appears in any of the folders.
So, after it added all photos to my catalogue, it started the face recognition. Here begins the issue, it stopped at 44% and is pending their for hours.
Does anyone have a clue if I can crawl through a log-file to identify if it's still running this task, or if it is stalled somewhere?
Task-Manager itself shows that Elements nearly uses all my CPU, so something is going on........
I have had a purchased copy of Photoshop Elements 14 for well over a year. Now, I getting a message whenever I open the program that my free copy is about to expire. Again, I am not using a free copy so why am I getting this notice? The only thing I did recently is download Firefox browser which should have nothing to do with my copy of PSE. I have windows 10 pc. which by the way, is causing me some problems.
Is there a keyboard shortcut In Photoshop Elements 19 to get directly to "Stroke (outline) Selection" after creating a Marquee?
I can use Ctrl or Alt + Delete to get the fill command to use foreground or background, but can't find a shortcut to select the Stroke (outline) Selection.
Going up to the menu bar or right clicking are the only ways I have found so far.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer 2019. For some reason when I export pictures from my Nikon D5500 I have tons of XMP files.
1. My Camera is set to save as JPG which is kind of unclear why I have XMP files, are there any import setting i should modify to not have the XMP files created?
2. Is it safe to delete them?
3. is there a way to remove them from the view in APE 2019?

Does anyone know if Adobe have now moved away from using Google Maps in Elements Organizer? I've just downloaded the 2019 trial at it appears that the Place tab is using Mapbox. I know Adobe had some issues with Google a while back leading to one of the recent versions not being able to display the maps in the Places tab. Maybe I shouldn't care which maps are used but I do prefer Google Maps so just wondering if anyone knows if this is a permanent move by Adobe away from Google?
My problem is twofold. I imported some pictures and suddenly a lot of my [C] hard drive space was taken up. I'd prefer the photos (I have many gigs) remain where they are if importing them is going to eat up my [C] drive. So my first problem is - where did they go? I looked at c>program files>adobe and can't find them.
Secondly, is there an option to import them to another location? Seems unlikely but IIRC I had this option in Bridge.

Is there an option to import jpegs so they are in the catalog folder instead of manually reconnecting them from external drives, phones or other places that no longer exist. Every time I manually reconnect missing files eventually other files or the same files go missing. Itunes has an option of adding mp3s to a central folder and that's it, everything is in one folder so nothing gets lost or moved. Is that an Elements option so files can't go missing because they are all in one physical place.

The paint lines in my drawing are gray instead of black. The opacity is at 100%, the color is set to black. I am using elements 14. Does anyone have an answer to switch to black?
Why is the Updates line under Help in Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements greyed out?
I just upgraded to PE14. I then inserted a new memory card from a recent trip into my card reader and imported the vacation photos. I see the images as thumbnails, but when I click on them to view larger, none of the images appear; I only see gray question marks. Please tell me what is going on here.

I want to be able to click on a photo and have PSE 2019 take me to where the photo was taken on the included map feature. How is this done? Currently it seems I have to click on Places and guess where the photo was taken and zoom, zoom, zoom, click, click, click, until I get to where I can see where the photo was taken without having it grouped with 1000 (not exaggerating) other photos. I can't find where a photo was taken. I have to already know where the photo was taken and then zoom in on that area and pick the photo out of the group of other photos.
It also seems that the photos are not automatically assigned any location/place. Not even a country. Is it possible to have Places automatically assigned in some way??
Perhaps I really don't really know how to use this function very well.
I just installed an Epson FastFoto FF-680W scanner on my PC system. The scanner connects via WiFi and works fine, but PSE2019 does not recognize or see it. When I go to Edit>Preferences>Scanner the only sellectionI have is my older HP scanner.
What do I need to do to access my new Epson FF-680W scanner??

It no longer works.
It crashed mid work flow.
I changed nothing with my settings. I did not install any new programs.
I've rebooted my system and it still crashes.
The editor side of the program seems to be working ok. But I need to access the files in the organizer to bring into the editor.'
Im using PSE for Macbook Pro and my system is an older one (which is why I can't upgrade)

I get often JPGs from people from Tanzania. Photoshop Elements does not show minuatures of these fotos. Windows explorer shows minatures of these JPGs, also freeware like faststone viewer. I decided to upgrade from Photoshop Elements 15 to photoshop elements 2019 and I hoped that the newer version is able to work with these JPGs. But I failed - money for nothing. Does anybody has a solution?
I've tried the 'right click then open with Photoshop' option, I've tried just dragging it to the photoshop screen, I've tried opening in Photoshop, but all that happens is that Photoshop tells me that it isn't 'the right sort of document'. Is it not possible to open an .ai file in Photoshop? If so, can I convert it to a jpeg file? It's a background, so I need the whole picture.

I recently purchased a card with a redemption code for Photoshop Elements 2018, I follow the instructions to head to www.adobe.com/getserial and created an account and redeemed my code. after that, it prompted me to download the photoshop elements file with the installer and set up. it downloaded fine but when I go to use the set up it asks for a serial number which I had never been given after I redeemed my code. Help I don't know what to do. I can' find any help on the community support pages and now I'm out £90.
anyone have any help or advice as to how I can get the serial number back??
Created several slideshows with names and saved but can't see where they are filed so I can bring up and edit. I've searched prior posts for an answer and found nothing specific. Find/Project and History says no media available. Even searched hard drive files for anything that might seem to be slideshow. Zilch. If a "save" a slideshow with a title, where the heck does the file reside?

The functionality to create and share an online album is not in the drop-down "Share" list. I am using Elements Organizer 2019. Below, in part are the instructions to create an online album from the Adobe website. Also, photography books make reference to using private web album sharing feature of Photoshop Elements. There is also a mention in another Adobe website about mobile albums, which I also don't see as it describes.
Am I missing something, or is that functionality not available in the Organizer. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

How do I reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 from the CD? I installed the software on my computer on 11/20/16. I need to reinstall the software because my computer crashed. The CD will not bring up the install process. How do I proceed?
Sorry everyone but Photoshop Elements 14 is giving me a lot of problems lately. Now there is a new issue. The clone stamp tool will not work. First, when I went to clone something, the area cloned either did not work or produced a solid black shape..I decided to save what I had and try again. This time when trying to use the clone tool I get this message. Problem is, I did alt/click! So what is the problem? I did look at someone else's answer to another persons question with the same problem. The answer was "did you reset the tool"? I went to Windows on the toolbar and did see Tools but there was no reset tool option on my edition of PSE.

Jag har installerat PSE 2018 på en ny dator (Windows 10) och även flyttat alla bildfiler manuellt. Nu vill jag även flytta katalogfilen för att få med mina album m.m. Hur gör man det enklast? Jag har kopierat den gamla katalogfilen till den nya datorn men PSE 2018 verkar inte vilja känna igen den. Har provat alla funktioner i menyn Hantera katalog.
I've just tried to install (from DVD) Elements 2019 onto my Mac running Mojave and it fails to install (Error 1).
The recommendation is to download the latest version from the Adobe website (done) & it still fails to install (same error message).
I've tried turning off the Firewall but it made no difference.
Unimpressed!
If there is a solution (short of returning it to Am....n for a refund), I would be grateful for suggestions.

I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 V 17.0 on my MacBook Pro, the macOS is 10.14.6. I am finding this new app rather frustrating in many ways. The following is one of those things. When using the Eraser tool in any of the three modes the area erased is not the same size as the Block or Circle outline which making it very dificult to do precise erasing. Then to make matters worse those darn dots that circle the eraser make things even worse. Is there a preferences setting that makes the erased part the same size as the outline and will eliminate the circling dots? What the dots are good for I don't know.
